In June we bought a house with 3400 square feet of hardwood and laminate floors. They are so hard to keep clean, and we have a toddler who is very mobile. I really needed something that worked. I had seen the Shark cleaner but thought it looked flimsy. The Haan is solid as a rock! It pushes hot steam onto the floor. You don't have to push down, or go over and over the same spot. A sticky mess on the kitchen floor takes just seconds to get up. The cord is not the longest, but with both my vacuum and the steamer I do what my cleaning lady always did, I use an extension cord. You fill it up with a cup of water, and it takes about 3 minutes to heat up.

Just enough time to sweep up the floor! Then you put a micro pad on and away you go. The pads are wonderful. When I am done I throw them in the washer and let them air dry. I love having sanitized floors, and I love how totally streak-free my hardwood looks - and it is safe on the floors! I have also used it to clean my shower, but have not used the tray on carpet or fabric yet, but plan to. I have told everyone I know about just how wonderful this product is. I cannot recommend it enough!

After reviewing over 20 different steam mops/cleaners for hard floors, I chose this one. I am EXTREMELY pleased! I wasn't home when it arrived, but my husband was and as soon as it came he took it out and cleaned all our hard wood floors, and master bath. He said mopping is a lot more fun now and will do it more often. We have 2 large dogs (black lab. and bullmastiff) so we always have dried on slobber/drool spots on our wood floors and the the steam mop picks it right up without leaving ANY water behind. Just make sure you go slow and use a fresh pad. Once you start to notice water left on the floor - just change out the pad to a fresh one and that will solve the problem. On other reviews I read the 19' cord isn't long enough, but I think its plenty. I have a very simple solution and its called an extension cord if you need it. All in all, Haan steam cleaner is awesome all around and can use it on our main floor without refilling the water.

I had originally intended on buying the Shark steam mop but after reading the reviews I went with the Haan instead and I'm SO glad I did. It has a constant flow of steam so you don't need to push any buttons and the flow of steam is constant, not just when you push or pull.

The washable floor pads are very heavy-duty and thick so I can clean the entire first floor of my house with one pad. I use the second pad for the ceramic bathroom floors. This is so easy to use - You just pour the water in, wait 3 minutes, and start mopping. This was a great investment!
